Senior project day 9

Today I had a little bit of a sleep in which was really nice. Once I got up I went into campus for lunch and then went to the library to set up my concentration demo in the bookcase. I got there and immediately began to work. I printed out my labels/notes and then went downstairs, where Heidi has created a crafting palace. If you're doing an art project, she probably has what you need! The same goes with citations :)

Anyway, I was down there for a while using Elmer's Glue to stick my labels onto another piece of paper like I did for middle school poster projects (not that that's a bad thing). I finished glueing and then went to the studio to give an interview for somebody else's senior project. I picked up some more ceramic pieces for my display and also scavenged in the recycling bin to find some heavier cardstock paper while I was there. I decided I needed a heavier paper to glue my labels onto because I was not satisfied with my first attempt, as the labels looked really wrinkly and grievously unprofessional. I made the journey back to the library where I sat down and promptly realized I needed a paper cutter guillotine thing and the library didn't have one. Using scissors was not an option because I did that for the first set of labels and it looked utterly deplorable. So, back to the studio. I cut all my paper and was much happier with way it looked, because I used scraps from the paper we use to matte art for the end of term art shows, so it was fantastically thick. I also used gorilla glue while I was in there, which I liked more than the Elmer's. Back to the library, where I went on a little exploration to find masking tape. I finished setting up the rest of the demo, arranging the prints and ceramics.

After that I went -can you guess- to the studio! I stayed there and threw a pot and then did some slab work. Then I headed to the theater! I ate an early dinner and then diverted from my evening plans by running over to Lindsay and Mel's house to sit with Anders and Zion for a bit. They were actually watching Shrek, but I don't know how much of it they were understanding because Anders was very enthusiastically talking about a different movie Shrek reminded him of pretty much the whole time, and then Zion asked to watch something else. Hopefully the musical performance will be more enthralling.

Now I am sitting in the dressing room of the theater listening to a dragon roar at innocent civilians (sneak peek!) I will be here until about 9 pm, so I have a nice amount of time to work. I'm going to work on my paper and hopefully finish it tonight. I will come back to the blog and give an update on whether or not I actually do that. We shall see.

Update: I did not finish my paper.
